I think it’s cool when God speaks to us in the language that we need to hear. I know that there have been times in my life when I wouldn’t have listened to anything but God, and there have been times where I’ve listened to other things besides. The cool thing is God knows exactly what we need to hear when we need to hear it. And he knows the avenue in which to use. From God selling a house quickly, to having a cat return home after being lost God speaks to us. That’s a huge deal if you think of it. The almighty ruler of the universe communicates to us! We don’t need gadgets, tricorders, or people to do it for us…only knowing Christ.
We talked about the implications of God being invisible this last week, and I’m still wrapping my brain around it so take this weeks lesson as such. With that said, I think God is amazing in his wisdom. Imagine if Jesus, when he came to earth really only came to establish an earthly kingdom in Israel like the disciples thought he would. How unfortunate for so many people (IMO) in that to meet Jesus we might speculate that we would have had to go see him personally. I don’t know…that’s just my sci-fi brain working, but what I do know is that I don’t have to trek or travel, or have funds or friends…all I need to do is speak from my heart.
If you have never begun a relationship with Jesus why don’t you do that. Speak from your heart and begin that relationship. For more devotions that were held at Wakeboard Church see the devotions blog link on the right side of the home page.
Ride On,
Alf
