Defiance

We call it a defiance SET actually. It’s the set that you take when there isn’t a real good reason to go out wakeboarding. Wind is blowing, air is cold, water is cold, the wake might not be real good, but you go anyway. You go because you need it. You go because wakeboarding is more than just this thing you do on the weekend. It’s a representation of your character. Audacious, aggressive, striving, disciplined. To the normal person going out on the lake past Labor day is completely insane. That’s okay, you’re there for a reason. Sometimes you can’t really articulate that reason, but it’s there nonetheless.

So the next time you’re pondering whether or not you should really put the boat in the water and ride. The next time the wind, and the rollers, and the cold begin to convince you to keep the cover on the boat, and the board in the bag, think again.

This can be true in our walk with God too. The next time you feel God has told you to do something, the next time you feel that leading…don’t listen to the waves around you.

Get out of the boat and defy the circumstances aroung you.

Ride On.
